Pronovias Presents the 2019 Atelier Collection in New York City

PRONOVIAS, a global leader in the bridal sector has presented their 2019 Atelier Pronovias Collection in an exhibition within the framework of the New York Bridal Fashion Week that took place in the emblematic art gallery STUDIO 525 on 24th St, New York. Influencers Amra Beganovich, Mary Leest and Andreea Cristina together with the surfer and model Anastasia Ashley, joined the event. All of them wore dresses from the new capsule collection Pronovias Evening Essentials.

For the 2019 season, Pronovias presents the ART OF BRIDAL, an immersive and fantastical presentation, where guests interact directly with designs from the Atelier Pronovias 2019
collection and get an inside look at the artistry employed for each gown. Designed by Pronovias Artistic Director, Hervé Moreau, the fashionable and innovative designs will be on display in this one-of-a-kind concept, where guests will experience a behind-the-scenes look of the Barcelona atelier.

As Hervé Moreau explained, “to me, exquisite Haute Couture dresses are like pieces of art. This is how we first came up with the idea of “Art of Bridal”, where fashion and art come together to create a collector’s piece, that a Bride can wear on her special day.”

Inspired by new beginnings, this collection surprises us with luxurious designs that have been artisanally crafted in the Barcelona atelier, where each gown is hand-made and can take anywhere from 100 to 300 hours to create. The brilliant dresses will make women from around the world fall in love, combining the demands of haute couture with the perfect pairing of tradition and innovation that the brand exudes.

The 2019 Atelier Pronovias Collection is defined by quality and excellence. This is evident in the quality of the fabrics, which have been carefully selected to create distinguished and innovative designs. As an example, elegant silk chiffon comes together in this renewed collection to create light dresses full of movement. Fresh flowers serve as a source of inspiration, employing delicate fabrics to create whimsical embellishments in the form of flower petals. Silk tulle is used to create new volumes, while silk or brocade crepe stand out in the new collection, in addition to lovely French lace and whimsical embroidered tulles.

The ‘Art of Bridal’ presentation will take guests on a journey through the different key elements of the collection.

The Master Pieces: Whether you’re looking for a dramatic princess dress or an illusion neckline with a pop of color, these dresses are sure to create a sensation. Show-stopping options in their own unique way, be it with over 700 petals in three different materials or a skirt with so much volume its truly fit for a princess.

Drama & Mystique: Gowns for brides with a certain ‘Je Ne Sais Quoi’, dramatic but never giving away all her secrets. This is interpreted with detachable sleeves that open at the elbow to resemble butterfly wings, or a hood covering part of the head, flowing naturally over the shoulders forming a U-shape highlighting the bust.

The Beauty of Flowers: Flowers are always a source of inspiration but here we see them interpreted in different and innovative ways. Be captivated with a field of flowers accentuating the sensuality of the female body or with hand-placed flowers in the train of a gown that are carefully attached to create a blossoming river flowing from the upper part of the back.

Fantasy: Straight out of a fairytale, these gowns are sure to keep even the most demanding brides day-dreaming all the way to the altar. We appreciate hand painted floral artwork and carefully embedded lace or a skirt made of jacquard and lace placements using a gold thread to create a capturing shine.

Two-In-One: Inspired in the “Double-Flower”, a term used when a flower grows extra petals which creates a flower within a flower, the two-in-one section offers two different looks in one dress. Using the finest French lace, a gown is presented with a dramatic train with handmade embroidery and tulle appliques while being surprisingly short in the front. Another gown uses hand-placed 3D flowers on embroidered tulle with a detachable but dramatic overskirt.

Sexy & See-Through: Suggestive transparency effects are achieved by playing with fabrics such as crystal tulle and French lace, perfectly placed to create the alluring tattoo-effect. Or a sea of one hundred handmade flowers, made from brilliant stones, pearls and sequins, expertly combined into one incredible gown.

Fabulous Feathers: Incredible feathers become the protagonists of some designs, perfect for women who love to surprise. A sea of feathers wraps the body in a mini dress made with a careful technique that creates a magical effect when in movement. Another option takes over 150 hours of carefully hand-embroidered feathers to create.

Customization: The 2019 Atelier Pronovias Collection has been created to dress all kinds of women and enhance their beauty with a collection of dreamy dresses. Each gown is entirely customizable, allowing every bride to have a truly one-of-a-kind creation on their special day.

The Atelier: For the first time, guests will experience first-hand the expert knowledge and savoir-faire of Haute Couture showcased in the Pronovias atelier.
