Mother-Daughter Duo Combines Years of Talent with a New Brand

Known for their former leading roles at Pronovias Group, entrepreneur Nicole Cavallo and her mother, a renowned bridal fashion designer Alessandra Rinaudo, have united their creativity and passion to launch a fresh and exciting brand: Aerenica.

In an elegant atelier located in the fascinating and historic city center of Torino, the duo has created sleek, innovative styles with a modern touch, reflecting the Italian craftsmanship for which they are revered. Bridal Times had the great opportunity to catch up with Nicole to tell us more about the new brand, her collaboration with her designer mother, and what lies ahead.

 Nicole, tell us about your journey and how you decided to launch your very own bridal line, Aerenica.

My decision to launch Aerenica came from a deep passion for bridal fashion and a vision that emerged as I observed a shift in the market. I noticed that the modern bride is looking for something unique, a way to express her individuality through timeless elegance. This inspired me to return to the roots of Italian craftsmanship, focusing on high-quality fabrics and refined designs that celebrate the essence of “Made in Italy.” Additionally, I wanted to introduce a contemporary touch by blending the bridal aesthetic with influences from the ready-to-wear world, creating a fresh and modern approach to bridal fashion.

 How has your previous experience in bridal prepared you for this next new chapter?

My previous experience in the bridal industry has been invaluable in shaping both my personal and professional growth. It allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the industry while providing a unique insight into international markets and trends. This exposure to different cultures, styles, and bridal preferences has broadened my perspective, equipping me with the skills and vision to confidently embark on this exciting new chapter with Aerenica.

 Tell us about the role your mother plays, Alessandra Rinaudo in the new Aerenica brand?

My mother, Alessandra Rinaudo, plays a pivotal role in the Aerenica brand. Her vast experience and remarkable talent in bridal design are key elements that make this project so ambitious and unique. Her creative vision and expertise guide the collection, while I bring my strengths in social media and communication to the table. Together, we combine tradition with modernity, ensuring that Aerenica not only offers exceptional designs but also connects with brides in a contemporary and dynamic way.

What is it like to work together with your mother who is a leading, reputable bridal designer in the industry?

Working with my mother, who is such a reputable and leading bridal designer, is incredibly inspiring. Her wealth of knowledge and experience constantly pushes me to grow and improve. At the same time, she gives me a great deal of freedom to explore my own creativity and make decisions independently. This balance allows us to collaborate effectively while still allowing me to shape the direction of Aerenica with my own vision.

Can you tell us about some highlights of the new Aerenica bridal collection?

The Aerenica bridal collection is a celebration of elegance and modernity. Some of the highlights include the use of luxurious, high-quality fabrics that reflect the essence of Italian craftsmanship. The designs are refined yet contemporary, blending timeless silhouettes with subtle, fashion-forward details. We’ve also infused elements from the ready-to-wear world, which bring a fresh, modern edge to the collection while still honoring the classic bridal aesthetic. Each gown is designed to make the bride feel unique, effortlessly combining sophistication with a touch of individuality.

 What are you most excited about when it comes to the new collection?

What excites me most about the new collection is the opportunity to introduce something fresh and innovative to the bridal market. I’m thrilled to not only create beautiful bridal gowns but also to build Aerenica into a brand that extends beyond just bridalwear. My goal is to offer multiple categories so that women can connect with the brand at various stages of their lives, whether it’s for a wedding or other significant moments. This vision of evolving into a lifestyle brand is what truly drives my passion for this project.

Can we expect to see Aerenica enter the German market?

Absolutely! We plan to expand internationally, and entering the German market is definitely part of our vision. We are committed to selecting only the most professional and high-quality distributors to ensure that Aerenica maintains its standard of excellence. Our goal is to bring the brand to new markets while preserving the essence of Italian craftsmanship and sophistication that defines our collection.

Looking back at your journey, what is the best piece of advice for new designers looking to launch their very own collections one day?

The best piece of advice I can give to new designers is to have a clear long-term vision. Along the journey, many unexpected things will happen, and there will be challenges and compromises to face. However, it’s crucial to always keep your ultimate goal in sight and let that vision guide every decision. Things may evolve along the way, but knowing where you want to go will help you stay focused and navigate the changes with confidence.
