Naked Trend, revealing styles, eye-catching hats or extravagant colors – the collections of international designers for the 2019 season are exciting and sensational. But how fitting are the extravagant dresses for the bride next door? Ladybird’s Olaf van den Brink has long been concerned with this question, as he reveals to bridal-times.com in an exclusive interview at the 2018 Harrogate Bridal Show.
With our collections such as “Royal”, “Bohemian” or “Transparent” we offer a wide range of different styles, but we are aware of what our target group looks like and of course want to meet their tastes. We follow current trends and develop our collections year after year.”
“It’s important to us that our gowns are wearable first and foremost. A bride should be able to dance all night and just feel good. And at a fair price, “explains the experienced entrepreneur at one of the most important European bridal fairs in Europe.
In following this philosophy, van den Brink shows no fear of missing out. The big trends slowly develop in the normal fashion industry, the 55-year-old is convinced. “It’s about translating them into the world of bridal fashion at the right moment.” With the new generation of bridal retailers in the German-speaking countries, he is in well synchronization. “The brides want to marry in the style of their time and above all be themselves,” says the van den Brink.
Director van den Brink also pays special attention to the distribution of his products. A tight band connects him with his consumers, 460 in number, from the largest specialty stores in Europe to small shops. “We do not just sell. It has to be a right fit – from delivery to the customer to communication with the bride. And we give full throttle! Our customers have been loyal to us for years, sometimes even decades. We really cherish that! ”
Bridal Times has also asked Ladybird for the favorites of the upcoming collection:
419051 – An absolute favorite of the current collection is the model 419051. The strapless bustier with a romantic neckline and detailed applications flows into a wide, yet delicate tulle skirt. A flowered belt completes the look.

519075 – Style 519075 is the perfect choice for any bride who wants a light but romantic dress. Flowing chiffon gives a dreamy look, while delicate lace highlights the back, the straps and the neckline.

319053 – The Style 319053 comes straight from a fairytale. A richly decorated top with a beautiful sweetheart neckline flows into a wide tulle skirt.

319107 – A favorite from the current Royal Collection is Style 319107. A simple look with just the right pinch of glamor with a deep V-neckline and glittery belt.

319025 – Boho has nearly become a classic in its own right, and the Model 319025 is the best example of it: Delicate, semi-transparent sleeves, carefully-placed lace detailing and a light, flowing skirt make this dress the ideal style for women who want a charming look.
