Très Chic Celebrates 60th Anniversary with New Collections

Très Chic Bridal Wear celebrates six decades of timeless elegance, craftmanship and enduring committment to their bridal boutiques and brides.

Bridal Times had the great opportunity to catch up with Rolf Kuipers, General Manager of Très Chic to tell us more about the company’s 60th Anniversary and the exciting new collections we can expect to see this year!

Congratulations to the Très Chic Team on your 60th Anniversary! What do you think has been some core elements that has kept the company so strong over the years?

Being humble and nimble has been one of the most important aspects of how we adapt quickly and respond to our customer’s needs. That’s been a very important part of how we are able to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of the Bridal Industry.

Owning our production and manufacturing is definitely a significant competitive advantage, because while many other brands operate at the whim of third party manufacturers, we are able to control all aspects of production and shipments.

Lastly, we are a family owned business, and while we have a great team at Très Chic, we treat everyone like family. We care about the business together, we solve problems together, and we foster a great creative environment where people can excel at being the best they can be, from logistics to design and everything in-between.

In light of the 60th Diamond Jubilee, Très Chic will be launching 2 new collections in 2024! Tell us about it!

To round-out our current assortment of brands, the newest collections “Avec Amour by Très Chic” and the “Jubilee Collection by Très Chic” will offer more diversity to ours current brand line-up.

We know there are bride’s looking for more value and affordability, and so we have created “Avec Amour by Très Chic” to offer fantastic designs at an exceptional price. Avec Amour will appeal to those brides who may have a more limited budget and still want to look great on their wedding day.

In honor of our 60th Diamond Jubilee in 2024, we also created a new collection of elegant princess ball gown styles under the brand name “Jubilee Collection by Très Chic“.

Ball gowns are still being requested for the bride that really wants to feel glamorous and like a princess. We want to make sure that we offer exactly what the brides are looking for so that the very latest styles that the customer is seeing in social media and online, is available for her to purchase with our retail partners.

What are some other additional highlights we can expect to see in the upcoming collections?

The design department at Très Chic also heard from retailers of the importance of adding styles that are simple and elegant, without lace appliqués or, for example, tulle or soft net. To respond to that need, Très Chic designed a series of elegant plain style wedding gowns, created in a new stretch mikado fabric that is soft, light and easy to wear for the bride.

These gowns are truly special and beautiful. We researched a lot of different fabrics to make sure we deliver something that would be truly affordable and most importantly, elegant and highly flattering for any bride.

For these final styles, we have used a beautiful stretch Mikado fabric that has been uniquely created to be soft, elegant, and unlike traditional Mikado, has a very flattering stretch in the weave making the dresses magnificently comfortable and yet elegant and breathtaking.

Have you seen any particular trends or styles that are popular with brides at the moment?

We are seeing trends in all different design aspects. We see that the bride today has more global access and sees styles that are from all corners of the world. We see however, more than ever, that A-line styles that make the bride look “a million bucks” is really important.

The brides over the last 15 years have been getting a little older. And with that, she wants to show her sophisticated and elegant side, an acknowledgment that she’s a successful woman in her own right. Perhaps as a professional, perhaps as a mother, perhaps as a woman who’s already established her independence. And this is irrespective of the price she’s paying for the dress.

Alternate fabrics to tulle are very important. Mikado, Satin, Chiffon and Crepe are at the top of the list as an alternative to the classic tulle style.

Très Chic is known for their excellent customer service. How important is it to maintain a strong business relationship with bridal shops?

This is what we live and breathe every single day.

It’s the cornerstone of how we approach the business and our business partners; the independent shop owners.

We all know, there is no forgiveness from any bride when things do not go smoothly or correctly. There are no alternatives to something promised.

Our reputation is the shops reputation. We value that beyond anything else.

How has Très Chic been able to better service and support their boutiques throughout the year?

We are very easy to work with. No political environments or red tape, just a solution oriented approach to ensuring our retail store partners have everything they need to be successful with Très Chic product. Their success is ultimately our success too. We have always honored that approach with our business partners.

 What is next for Très Chic?

We have started working on design development for 2026 – and we will have a few more surprises in- store then.

In the mean time, we are also excited that the business is in transition to the 3rd generation of the family bringing a new perspective and fresh approach to the business. Our approach to technology, process and business strategy has already supported amazing initiatives and growth for the company, and with that, the future of Très Chic over the next 60 years, looks as bright and progressive as it’s last 60 years years!
