Bridal Times had the great opportunity to talk with KC Lin, Artistic & Lead Designer of Bridal Collective to tell us more about the new PEN·LIV Collection and what future brides can expect from the uniquely stunning PEN·LIV wedding gowns.

How did you decide to launch PEN·LIV and what was the inspiration behind it?
Bridal Collective felt there was room for a new collection for brides looking for modern, couture gowns with a contemporary edge and youthful, sexy vibe. When I started designing for the 2023 PEN·LIV collection, I kept coming back to the phrase, ‘Empowered women empower women.’ I thought about our wonderful CEO Mary and her two daughters and fell in love with the idea of inspiring young women to continue to grow into bold, strong, kind and smart individuals, who feel confident wearing whatever it is that makes them feel their best.
How does the PEN·LIV Collection compliment the current Bridal Collective brands?
PEN·LIV brings modern, couture gowns with a youthful, edgy and sexy vibe to the Bridal Collective portfolio. As with all of the company’s collections, a great deal of emphasis will be placed on craftsmanship, fit, and affordability. The hope is that with PEN·LIV, there is a wedding dress for every bride within the Bridal Collective portfolio.

Describe the kind of bride who wears a gown from the new PEN·LIV Collection?
The PEN·LIV bride is bold and confident. Sultry and sophisticated. The PEN·LIV bride easily commands attention in every room, simply by being her authentic and unapologetic self. With a genuine sweetness underlying her edge, the PEN·LIV bride stands out without effort — a true example of timeless elegance and grace infused with modern, sexy appeal. PEN·LIV brides appreciate the beauty of traditional design elements while recognizing that living and dressing for today is about embracing the new and the daring. What are some new highlights or features incorporated in the collection?
One of our favorite collection highlights has to be the unique combination of romantic botanical lace and super glamourous glitter tulle. It allows the gowns in this collection to accomplish more than one look so effortlessly.
ABBEY is the perfect example of this. Brides will fall in love with the beautiful embellishments and detail on ABBEY. The bodice and skirt feature the brilliant 3D laser-cut floral blossom embroidered lace, amplified by a subtle, sequin tulle for the perfect sweet and sexy bridal look.

Can you tell us about a favorite gown or style from the collection?
Aside from the gorgeous ABBEY, another personal favorite and favorite of our retailers is ASPEN. A lavish, high-fashion crafted gown with beaded embroidered vine motifs for a bold yet refined statement. Perfect for brides looking for a show-stopping moment whilst feeling delicate and elegant.
