Très Chic Bridal Wear Steps in to Help Fight the Spread of the Coronavirus

Très Chic Bridal Wear, based in the Netherlands, has been a leading brand name in the European bridal market for more than five decades, and now they are one of several fashion brands using their skills to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus that has taken the world by storm.

In March 2020,  Owner and CEO of Très Chic Bridal Wear Brian Kuipers and his team turned their house operations in Hengevelde Netherlands into a production facility to produce much needed mouth caps and face masks to give away for free to those in need.

The company has received over 400 individual requests for over 4,000 caps and priority has been given to the health workers and volunteers in the local area and surrounding towns. Très Chic is also sewing mouth caps for the elderly and those in greater danger. Although the face masks are not medical-grade mouth caps, they are fully washable and can incorporate a filter like gauze, or a coffee maker filter for added protection.

The team has produced 2,800 mouth caps so far, with still more than 1,800 requests left to produce and the numbers continue to grow.

Andrew Georgiou of Très Chic Bridal Wear says, “Everyone on the team has been excited to help out all while observing social distancing and staying 2 meters apart, of course. The response has been truly overwhelming to be honest, both in terms of requests, but also from complete strangers calling Très Chic and asking to help sew from home to help us with the effort.”
