Rosa Clará : Daniel Clará and Anne-Marie Colling Celebrate Unforgettable Wedding in Paris

The bride wore four different haute couture dresses designed by Rosa Clará, who also dressed the bridesmaids and guests

Paris, 5 June 2023 – Daniel Clará and Anne-Marie Colling said their ‘I dos’ on Saturday 3 June. The unforgettable ceremony played out in Paris. The bride wore four haute couture designs by Rosa Clará, all of which remained true to the bridal atelier’s style; sophisticated, modern and elegant, reflecting the firm’s exquisite craftsmanship and savoir faire.

The event was attended by guests from all over the world. The couple chose the ‘City of Light’ because of its eternal romance, fascinating history and close links with the fashion industry.

The celebrations kicked off on Friday with a pre-wedding party on a Seine cruise. The bride opted for a short dress in a soft pearl color, embellished with micro-beadwork and silver thread and finished with crystal-beaded fringing. The sparkling sleeveless design boasted a semi-bateau neckline, evoking the style of the 1920s and simply exuding Great Gatsby glamour. The designer and mother of the groom wore a two-piece trousers and blouse set crafted in Klein blue natural silk crêpe. The groom wore an elegant linen and silk blazer in beige by Canali, paired with navy blue trousers.

The couple chose the spectacular Basilica of Saint Clotilde for their religious ceremony on the Saturday; a nineteenth-century church thought to be the city’s first such example of neo-Gothic style. The bridal procession was introduced to the sounds of the song ‘Hallelujah’, performed by a 30-strong children’s choir, a gift Anne-Marie organized as a surprise for her husband-to-be.

The groom made his sensational entrance in a charcoal gray morning coat paired with a double-breasted shawl collar vest in pearl gray by Canali, white cotton poplin shirt and Yusty silk tie. He was accompanied by his mother Rosa Clará, wearing a magenta silk crêpe design embroidered with precious stones and agates in colors including fuchsia, lilac, yellow, orange and blue, intertwined with Bohemia crystal beads. Rosa Clará’s husband, Josep Artigas, showed off an impeccable navy blue jacket, coupled with a double-breasted vest by Canali and white cotton poplin shirt by Yusty.

The six groomsmen also made a striking entrance, wearing jackets and ties in the same shade as the bridesmaids’ dresses; as did the six bridesmaids, also showcasing designs by Rosa Clará – powder pink silk muslin dresses boasting on-trend cut-outs and drapes.

The bride, Anne-Marie, arrived accompanied by her father, captivating the crowds in a spectacular show-stopping dress crafted in French Chantilly lace and hand-embroidered with micro-beadwork, delicate flowers and crystals, with a pencil silhouette and halter neckline. The bride’s look was complemented by a feminine gazar overskirt, boasting flawless volume and a three meter-plus train, along with a stunning plain natural silk veil measuring over four meters long. More than 500 hours of work went into the making of this dress. “Without a doubt, designing my daughter-in-law’s dress has been the most important job of my career” Rosa Clará explains.

Once declared husband and wife, the couple left the church to rounds of cheers in celebration of their union, heading for the reception at the splendid Rodin Museum just meters away. The Rodin Museum was a magical setting for the reception brimming with art, history and glamour. The majestic gardens are dotted with sculptures by the renowned artist, who lived in the palace at the latter stage of his life.

Anne-Marie Colling dazzled in her second bridal look of the day, as though she were one more work of art from the museum’s collection. The striking dress boasted a classic silhouette, strapless neckline and tulip skirt. Crafted in double duchess silk satin, the fabric was hand-painted in oils by an artist from northern Italy. The exclusive design featured romantic five-petal flowers inspired by jasmine, finished with a subtle touch of gold dust to give it an authentic and contemporary haute couture look sure to endure in the memories of the guests in attendance. This second wedding dress was finished with a stunning Watteau train in tulle, featuring the same design and technique as the dress. Anne-Marie said she “felt incredibly lucky to have been able to work with Rosa and her team; the whole process has been very exciting. I’ve always identified a lot with the brand, and I’m so happy to wear four haute couture dresses designed for four very special moments of the wedding”. For his part, Dani Clará acknowledged: “I love surprises, and although I have to confess that at times it was difficult not to dig into the details of the dresses, without a doubt, the two people who know me best, my mother and Anne-Marie, have managed to surprise me and have succeeded with flying colors. Anne-Marie looked simply spectacular”.

The Rodin Museum gardens were an enchanting setting to celebrate the bride and groom, who enjoyed the reception with their guests including influencers such as Marta Sierra who was one of the bridesmaids and Emelie Lindmark who took part in the religious ceremony, both of whom are friends of the couple.

Dinner was served by chef Alain Ducasse, holder of the most Michelin stars in the world (21).

After enjoying their first dance as husband and wife under the watchful eye of The Thinker by Rodin, the party moved on to another of the city’s iconic locations: Maxim’s, which opened in 1893 and was an iconic meeting place in the Belle Époque, frequented by Tout-Paris. High society and celebrities were all drawn to Maxim’s throughout the twentieth century: from Aristotle Onassis and Maria Callas to Brigitte Bardot, Pierre Cardin and, more recently, Caroline of Monaco and Dita Von Teese.

For the Maxim’s party, Anne-Marie Colling chose a third haute couture design by Rosa Clará, inspired by nineties minimalism. With a scoop neckline and subtle mermaid cut, the dress was crafted in French Chantilly lace with silk embroidery and micro-beadwork, boasting an internal corset to give the bride an incredibly sexy yet elegant look.

This dress was made to shine in, and was followed by yet another look later in the evening; this one youthful and comfortable to keep her dancing into the night. Anne-Marie wore an on-trend two-piece set, with a bandeau top in embroidered lace with scalloped detailing paired with trousers in pure silk satin, exuding pure lines. This modern and sophisticated look was true to Anne-Marie’s style, providing a masterful lesson in style.

Rosa Clará broke into the bridal fashion sector in 1995 with the opening of her first store in Barcelona.
