Without any doubt, this year’s edition of European Bridal Week at Messe Essen, Germany, has proven to be THE leading trade show for the bridal industry. Being the first trade show taking place in Germany after everything had been put on hold due to Corona, the organisers of European Bridal Week are pleased about receiving a number of great comments.
“The feedback from our exhibitors and visitors was simply overwhelming. Especially after such a long time of being out of business, everybody was delighted to see bridal coming back to life again as such. All participants accepted the applicable hygiene rules we had to put in place and managed social distancing whilst meeting partners and friends on the show floor,” states Andrew Lookman, Managing Director of United Fairs, organisers European Bridal Week.
With about 380 labels from all over the world showcasing their new collections for the 2021 season, featuring bridal, evening wear, men’s wear and accessories, European Bridal Week has been a particularly strong platform for trading and networking, both for exhibitors and buyers and for all those in the bridal industry who have visited the trade fair.
“We had over 2000 international attendees across the three days of the show. This is a very powerful statement for the complete industry which makes us more than happy,” says Siegrid Hampsink, Event Director of European Bridal Week. With only 28% less visitors compared to last year’s show, this result is even much better than expected due to the recent circumstances we are all facing.”
“EBW2020 has been the only trade show for now which managed to bring together the majority of the sector’s leading brands, as well as buyers from important markets. Fashion and business will meet again in Essen, Germany.” says Siegrid Hampsink.
