Bridal Times had the great opportunity to see the new 2022 JESUS PEIRO Textures Collection on the catwalk at the BBFW Gala 2021. How did you decide on which dresses to present from the collection, and what message were you looking to convey with the gowns?
I decided to present the dresses that were the soul and essence of the collection. Some of them I chose because of their stunning textures and lines that brought novelty. The message was to provide an innovative and optimistic image with the personality that characterises the wedding gowns.

Would you say that JESUS PEIRO gowns have a signature style or common feature?
Of course. Over the years, the work done on the idea of the “classic-renovated” has become very recognisable and at the same time, a particular style. I think that after being dedicated to that DNA for so long, it has given us a very good result.
How do you get your inspiration, yet stay so modern at the same time?
I am inspired by women, fashion, and culture. All the elements that I live with and allow me to identify the strong points of each season and how to adapt them to the wedding dress.
What are some special highlights and features from the new collection?
The appearance of fabrics with light, both embroidered and printed and with glitter effects. The development of large sleeves, openings in all types of skirts. Capes, ponchos and cape-coats as complementary pieces, and the return of pleats in different versions. Also fabrics with weight, particular effects and a new revival of large volumes.
Do you have a personal favorite?
Yes, a square neckline, gigot sleeves and a removable cape in a medium weight crepe – for me it is the synthesis of the modern bride!
JESUS PEIRO has always featured spectacular capes and cover ups in the collections. How important is it to incorporate these bridal garments in the collection.
It is essential. They allow you to finish the look, play with the possibilities of your chosen dress and totally personalise your outfit. They are great companions that silently help create more magic to the whole outfit.
We have also seen several two-pieces in the latest collections. Would you say this style has become more in demand?
Yes, it allows the possibility of creating multiple combinations and transforming the bride’s image in a dynamic and very personal way. It’s fresh, modern and is becoming more and more popular.
Can you tell us JESUS PEIRO relationship with the bridal market in Germany?
JESUS PEIRO as a designer house has been working together with the German market for over 25 years. In this time JESUS PEIRO has built up a reputation for innovation and quality in designs. Additionally, also due our reliability and flexibility we are a sought-after brand by stores and brides alike.
