Casablanca Bridal Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Twenty years ago, in 1997, husband and wife team Mr. Kevin Lu and Ms. Gloria Lu each had a vision. He was determined to be a successful businessman, and her dream was to create beautiful wedding dresses. They partnered together to develop these aspirations into a shared vision, and Casablanca Bridal was formed. After selling just one dress the very first year, the company has become one of the fastest growing, well-known manufacturers of bridal gowns in the industry.

Contributing factors to the company’s success include the high priority it places on customer service with the bridal salons across the world that sell these gowns. Due to the fact that Casablanca Bridal owns and operates a private factory, they are able to maintain a strict adherence to quality and keep costs low, and are also able to allow their gowns to live on forever – Casablanca Bridal is notorious for never discontinuing a style.

Milestones over the past 20 years have included the following:

  • 2003: Casablanca Bridal wins the DIVA Fashion Award for Bridal Designer of the Year
  • 2004: The brand wins the Dallas Fashion Award for Bridal Fashion, recognizing design and retail excellence
  • 2005: Corporate headquarters are established in Anaheim, California
  • 2007: Luxury couture line Amare is introduced to the brand’s portolio
  • 2008: Casablanca Bridal wins the DEBI Award for Bridal Manufacturer of the Year
  • 2009: Website http://www.casablancabridal.com is launched
  • 2012: Kevin and Gloria Launch Celebrate Forever, a nonprofit organization that supports healthy relationships
  • 2014: Casablanca Bridal opens a flagship boutique in Newport Beach, California
  • 2016: Beloved by Casablanca Bridal, a price-discerning line of affordable gowns is launched
  • 2017: An increased emphasis on global expansion

Casablanca Bridal is offering exciting giveaways, unique new marketing, and other initiatives as part of the 20th Anniversary, which you can follow along with and participate in – just look up the #CasaTurns20 hashtag on social media. Recently, the brand took to Paradise Cove in Malibu, California to create a magazine spread of twenty models, each wearing one of the bestselling gowns from the past twenty years. These gowns will be on display in a museum type format preceding the company’s Spring 2018 Collection press show at New York Bridal Fashion Week this October 2017. More information on the press show will be available in late summer. In the meantime, you can see the spread of all twenty gowns together today, along with a photo of each individual gown from the year it was designed.
