What was a complicated issue a few years ago, is no longer a problem thanks to the now wide selection of maternity bridal dresses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The market has changed a lot,&#8221; says Sandra M\u00fcller, CEO of Sweet Belly Couture. Since 2006, Sandra has been designing romantic maternity wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses as well as elegant evening dresses for women who are expecting. &#8220;Even ten years ago, it was common for pregnant women to get married in wide empire wedding dresses,&#8221; says the 39-year-old. The retailers usually ordered wedding gowns a few sizes up so that the growing belly would fit into the dress. &#8220;The rest of the dress was then adapted to the woman,&#8221; says M\u00fcller.<\/p>\n<p>But a common problem for entrepreneurs and customers alike: &#8220;Not every small retailer has their own in house tailor. The time is takes to outsource gowns that need to be tailored can be difficult and it is ultimately cost-intensive for the customer. Sandra M\u00fcller has experienced this first hand. Business economist Sandra M\u00fcller, had difficulties finding a suitable dress during her own pregnancy. &#8220;Then the idea came to me, to design the right fitting wedding gowns myself,&#8221; explains the twice over mother. An idea that was crowned with success: Apart from the top models Nadja Auermann and Eva Herzigova and big stars such as the singers Danii Minogue and Pink, they also swear by M\u00fcller&#8217;s German creations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-660\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridal-times.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/sweet_belly2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bridal-times.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/sweet_belly2.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.bridal-times.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/sweet_belly2-300x256.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.bridal-times.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/sweet_belly2-768x655.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.bridal-times.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/sweet_belly2-520x444.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Whether it&#8217;s a superstar or average consumer, the trend is moving towards a narrow silhouette,&#8221; says M\u00fcller. The belly is no longer concealed, but accented with elastic fabrics. &#8220;Normal wedding dresses that have been altered often make pregnant women appear unnecessarily wide, and few want this,&#8221; says M\u00fcller. Sandra likes to work with stretch laces, chiffon and flowing fabrics in her collections. &#8220;The advantage of maternity dresses is comfort.&#8221; The stretch material at the waist of the body supports the abdomen and adjusts to any month during pregnancy. &#8220;Good maternity clothes fit expectant mothers from the beginning to the end of pregnancy,&#8221; says M\u00fcller.<\/p>\n<p>The current Sweet Belly Couture collection consists of 24 gowns. A special feature is the Mermaid dress, which the designer has been concentrating on since last year. &#8220;We are getting more and more demands for this cut&#8221;, says M\u00fcller. In the collection for the coming season, Sandra also intends to include a dress in this style. &#8220;Classics such as the high bridal sash over the belly or colored belts will also be a theme again.&#8221; The colors pale rose and ivory are to be the focus of the upcoming collection as well. &#8220;In addition, we are also expanding our range of colors,&#8221; says M\u00fcller.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 100 customers of Sweet Belly are within the German-speaking area, Belgium and the Netherlands. And they always seem to give M\u00fcller a special tip: &#8220;Wedding dresses for pregnant women must not be stuck in the corner somewhere. They must be presented centrally.
