Wedding Planners, Svenja Schirk of Freakin\u00b4 Fine Weddings and Kerrin Wiesener of \u201cSignature Events\u201d will be taking on the exciting challenge of launching the awards show in Germany.<\/p>\n

Bridal Times had the chance to catch up with Svenja to tell us how the awards show came to life and how to participate in the big event!<\/p>\n

Tell us how the decision was made to launch Wedding Award Germany?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has long been our wish to bring the wedding awards to Germany. Austria is and has been a great role model. The awards in Austria has cult status and is highly valued by all professionals in the wedding industry. After much deliberation, the opportunity arose to cooperate with the Wedding Award Austria. This was the starting signal to launch “Wedding Award Germany” with the best mentors at our side.<\/p>\n

Why do you think it is important to have an awards show for the German wedding industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Evaluated by an independent jury of experts, the awards promotes young talents, encourages established companies and offers the newlyweds of tomorrow an overview of the best wedding professionals in Germany. The \u201cOscars of the Wedding Industry\u201d is an award for the most outstanding talents and creative minds in the German wedding industry.<\/p>\n

How has the response been since your big announcement of\u00a0 \u201cWedding Award Germany\u201d on social media?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are overwhelmed by the great encouragement and interest in the awards! Many wedding industry professionals can\u2019t wait to take part. We are very happy about this and it has motivated us even more to make the \u201cWedding Award Germany\u201d a terrific show.<\/p>\n

Can you tell us what the different categories for the awards are?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be 22 categories – from bridal styling, best location, to the wedding ceremony officiants and best photography. We would like to show the diversity of the German wedding industry and therefore strive to recognize all trades. The details and all categories will be published on our website by mid-March at the latest.<\/p>\n

When will the awards show be and how can participants apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The award ceremony will take place in spring 2021 in Berlin. The exact date is currently being coordinated with the location. Applications can then be submitted online starting in autumn 2020 on our homepage. An expert jury then evaluates them anonymously, ensuring absolute fairness and coordination.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, how can possible applicants of the show keep themselves informed about the development German Wedding Awards?<\/strong><\/p>\n

All details, background information and of course the deadlines for submission can be found on our Instagram page (wedding_award_germany<\/a>) and of course on our homepage www.weddingawardgermany.de<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We are also present at the wedding congress on March 14-15, 2020 in Mainz, Germany, and we are happy to answer all your questions there.<\/p>\n

What is your advice to businesses who are thinking about applying for the German Wedding Awards??<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please plan now before the main wedding season so that you can focus on getting the perfect results and prepare accordingly.<\/p>\n

What are your wishes and goals for the Wedding Award Germany in 2021?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We hope that the award promotes young talents and encourages already established companies. It should become a reference for newlyweds, but also an important award that wedding service providers are proud to accept. In addition, we would like to create an industry event awards show, where we can all celebrate together and look back on a successful season.<\/p>\n
