As the daughter of renowned former Pronovias Creative Director Alessandra Rinaudo and a successful bridal designer in her own right, Nicole Cavallo<\/strong> has long been immersed in the world of bridal fashion. Following the launch of her own label, Aerenica<\/strong>, in 2024, she reunited with her mother to create one of the most meaningful gowns in their family’s design legacy.<\/p>\n

Nicole and her new husband, Edoardo, envisioned their wedding as an experience that reflected their story and the way they live their relationship: a balance of elegance, authenticity and freedom of expression. After ten years together, their wish was to create a celebration that was not only a milestone, but a personal narrative shaped through meaningful details, carefully curated atmospheres and choices deeply connected to who they are.<\/p>\n

Designing her own bridal look became a natural extension of that vision. Rather than simply creating a wedding dress, Nicole embraced the opportunity to explore the deeper meaning of bridal fashion and transform her personal design philosophy into a couture creation that reflected both her identity as a designer and her journey as a bride.<\/p>\n

The First Dress: A Dialogue Between Memory, Craftsmanship and Couture Vision<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The first look represents the most intimate heart of the wedding: a couture gown that embodies the bond between Nicole and her mother, Alessandra Rinaudo, who brought the creation to life together with her daughter. The project was born from a long creative dialogue between mother and daughter, a journey built on research, exchange and absolute attention to detail.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The search for the perfect lace led Nicole and Alessandra to Caudry, in northern France, discovering a historic manufacture preserving a unique heritage of craftsmanship. From this research came two different lace patterns, harmoniously \u00a0combined between the bodice and the skirt to create a delicate balance between structure and lightness.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The silhouette is defined by a structured corset, a high neckline and long sleeves entirely covered in French lace. The skirt follows the \u00a0body before opening into an elegant A-line shape, while subtle side details enhance the proportions of the figure.<\/p>\n

One of the most precious elements of the project was the lace itself, later hand-painted to achieve a refined mother-of-pearl luminosity \u00a0capable of enhancing its depth and texture. Every detail reflects the collaboration between different artisanal skills: from the selection \u00a0of materials to the final craftsmanship, including the most personal elements incorporated into the gown.<\/p>\n

Among these, the embroidery featuring natural blue stones belonging to Nicole\u2019s family and preserved by her parents for over twenty years adds a deeply emotional dimension to the dress. The veil follows the same language as the gown, featuring hand-painted lace with stylised floral motifs, while the bespoke shoes complete the look using the same lace chosen for the dress.<\/p>\n

More than a wedding dress, the first look represents a dialogue between past and future: a tribute to inherited craftsmanship and, at the same time, a personal statement from both the bride and the designer.<\/p>\n

Three Looks to Express Three Interpretations of the Contemporary Bride<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Alongside the first gown, Nicole chose to experience her wedding day through two additional looks, creating a stylistic journey that accompanied the different moments of the celebration. Her goal was to express three different interpretations of the contemporary \u00a0bride: tradition, modernity and the power of memory.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The second look introduces a more essential and contemporary vision. A silk satin ensemble composed of a structured corset-inspired \u00a0top and palazzo trousers, completed by a long, clean-lined cape. The draping, entirely created through the moulage technique, reflects \u00a0a more sculptural approach to bridal couture, where the movement of the fabric becomes an integral part of the design.<\/p>\n

The third gown carries a deeply emotional meaning. Nicole chose to reinterpret the dress worn by her mother-in-law almost forty years \u00a0earlier, originally created in 1987 by her grandmother. The intention was not to completely transform it, but to preserve its essence and \u00a0enhance what made it special, bringing it into the present while maintaining its original identity.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Together, the three looks represent three different expressions of the same bride: respect for tradition, the freedom to embrace \u00a0contemporary femininity and the strength of family connections. A journey that also reflects Nicole Cavallo\u2019s and Aerenica\u2019s philosophy, \u00a0where every creation is born from the meeting of emotion, research and savoir-faire.<\/p>\n

Nicole and Edoardo designed their wedding as a journey of transformation, beginning with a ceremony at the Church of San Bernardino in Saluzzo and continuing at the Serre Reali di Racconigi. The celebration evolved from elegant white and green tones to warm terracotta hues before ending in a vibrant red evening party, where the venue transformed into a stylish club reflecting the couple’s personality and love of celebration.<\/p>\n
