Straight off the runway at the Global Bridal House Event in Amsterdam, Bridal Times had the chance to speak with Modeca designer, Sabrina Toy to talk about the inspiration behind the Modeca, Le Papillon, Curves and Couture by Modeca Collections.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Industry professionals and retailers from around Europe crowed the Global Bridal House<\/strong> runway, eager to get a first glimpse of the new Modeca Collections. It\u2019s fair to say that the excitement was high with many delighted to see the Modeca Designer & Creative Director, Sabrina Toy<\/strong> herself, the person behind the collections who has turned countless dreams into reality.<\/p>\n

For this season, the Modeca Divine Collection<\/strong> took the center stage with stunning flowing gowns of clean simplicity, making it the perfect choice for a woman of sophisticated taste. Sabrina explains there are few embellishments, but if there are, it\u2019s a true surprise for brides. This was evident to see as the first of the Modeca gowns gracefully floated down the runway in minimalistic fashion, yet with breathtaking floral detailing and lace.<\/p>\n

Dottie Gown, Divine Collection<\/p><\/div>\n

The clean look in bridal is \u201con trend\u201d, but it\u2019s hard to pin-point why this style is so loved amongst retailers and brides alike. Sabrina adds, \u201cIt could be a mix of post-corona times and life becoming simpler, but there will always be that sophisticated bride that has simple taste, which is elegant, timeless and classic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Le Papillon Eternal Collection<\/strong> then made its entrance onto the catwalk, with gasps of excitement as gowns with stunning back detailing, high slits, cutouts, capes and colors captivated viewers. Among the highlights was a signature showstopping black wedding dress and even gowns accented in black in a way that we have never seen before.<\/p>\n

When talking about the Le Papillon Eternal Collection Sabrina says, \u201cI feel she has more of a sexy vibe, she is more confident of herself, a \u201cdare to wear, party in the back\u201d of surprises and I think she has a whimsicalness about her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eline Gown, Eternal Collection<\/p><\/div>\n

The Curves Daydream Collection<\/strong> continued the trend on the runway of delivering timeless elegance and modern flair of the Modeca collections, leaving no details out for the curvy bride. Curvy brides will be able to indulge in the same fashion-forward styles while making a statement on their special day.<\/p>\n

Doan Gown, Daydream Collection<\/p><\/div>\n

Dialing up the level of luxury and closing out the Modeca fashion show was the Couture Feminine Collection.<\/strong> The collection features gowns of exquisite beading, voluminous statement ruffles and eye-catching accents such as coats, sleeves and shoulder bows.\u00a0 Sabrina explains, \u201cI really tried to reach for unique luxurious fabrics that we don\u2019t see very often and not leaving out the trends that are in focus now, but in a classical way.\u201d<\/p>\n

We asked Sabrina what her personal favorite design is, and she shows us a picture and admits, \u201cHer name is FOSCA. It is a masterpiece in engineering, cut, pattern, fabric. I pride myself in the engineering aspect of making this gown.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the end, we just had to ask Sabrina how she does it. Sabrina smiles and says, \u201cI get asked this question all the time. I definitely put a piece of myself in every collection and I think it\u2019s only natural to do that. But the true inspiration comes from the women that are around me every day. I am really blessed to have such incredible women in my life, my mom, my sister, my daughter. I am lucky to be surround by such beautiful women.\u201d<\/p>\n
